Mike graduated from Plainview High school and married Shanna Belcher on April 3, 2004. Mike was known for his love of the outdoors. In his younger years he enjoyed racing BMX bikes, riding dirt bikes and Harleys, and playing foosball and ping-pong. He had a passion for golfing, hunting, taking his boat out on the lake, and skiing. He loved socializing and having cookouts with family and friends. Mike never knew a stranger, his personality, laugh, and love radiated, and he befriended everyone he met.
Mike proudly worked for United Supermarkets for over 30 years. In his many years of dedicated service with Market Street he received numerous awards for his store location under his management. In 2019, Mike was awarded store director of the year with United Supermarkets. He was also a recipient of: Distinguished Service Award from McKinney, Business of the Year Award, and best Supermarket of the Year, all under his leadership. He was very generous with his time, not only with work and family, but Mike enjoyed serving the communities he lived in as well. He was a very well loved volunteer for many organizations including: McKinney Kiwanis Club, McKinney ISD Reach Mentor Program, Believe McKinney Main Street, McKinney Organization Board Member & Chairman, UCREW, and Holy Family School. Mike was also affiliated with: McKinney Lions Club, McKinney Relay for Life, McKinney Alliance Board, Community Lifeline Center- Steering Committee Member, Smiles Charity Board Member, YMCA Board Member, and City of McKinney Chamber of Commerce Board Member.
His memories are left to be cherished by his mother, Judy Price; father, Clyde Foster and wife Laqueta; his loving wife, Shanna Foster; his children, Erin and Garrett Wages; his brother, Jeff Foster and wife Kerri; his sister Cheryl Ryan; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Mike left a fulfilling imprint in this world by his presence, and now the family invites you to join them as they celebrate his wonderful life. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 5pm-8pm in Resthaven Funeral Home. Celebration of Life service will follow on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 1pm in Church of Christ Green Lawn, 5701 19th Street. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. A reception will follow at Church of Christ Green Lawn.
