Melton Earl Anderson, a cherished resident of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on August 7, 1945, in Crosbyton, Texas, Melton was the beloved son of the late Henry Wilburn and Opal Eunice Anderson.
Melton graduated from Crosbyton High School in 1964 and dedicated his career to Dove Tree Ranch, where he served as a maintenance manager. His commitment to his work was matched by his passion for art, particularly painting, which brought him great joy throughout his life.
On November 11, 1995, Melton married the love of his life, Nell Freeman. Together, they built a family and shared many wonderful years. Melton is survived by his devoted wife, Nell, and their son, Brett Anderson. He was a proud grandfather to Dakota and Benjamine Anderson and a great-grandfather to Rebecca Anderson. His family was a source of immense pride and happiness.
Melton is also survived by his siblings, Janette Johnson, Delinda Hancock, and Connie Hackney, as well as three nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Opal Anderson and his sister, Laquita Hobbs.
Melton's life was a testament to hard work, creativity, and love for family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his legacy will live on through his family and the beautiful art he created.
