He was born in Jayton, Texas on October 12, 1933 to Miguel and Belen Ramos.
He was raised in Clairemont and Lubbock Texas and was married to Clara Samaniego on October 12, 1952. He had four children.
Max and family moved to Houston, Texas in July of 1967. While in Houston Max worked in construction, landscaping and was a Bar manager for several years. He had a passion for singing and playing guitar and spending time with his grandchildren.
He returned to Lubbock to retire in 1998. Both he and his wife were members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife Clara and two daughters, Sylvia and Gloria Jean “Gogi”.
He is survived by his son Gilberto Ramos (Austin, Tx), and daughter Herlinda Sanchez (Simon) of Pasadena TX and one brother Silvestre Ramos from (California). He also has 7 grandchildren, 25 Great-grandchildren and 10 Great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., October 16, 2020, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
