Mary Alice Foster, formerly of Lubbock, Texas, passed away Monday, September 14, at age 92, in Big Spring, Texas. Mary was born November 7, 1922, in Sunset, Texas, to Luna and Lola Lightner.
She graduated from Draw High School in 1941, as well as Draughon’s Business College later. Mary worked as a deputy county clerk in Lubbock, Texas, for many years before retiring in 1984. She was devoted to and a faithful member of Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock where she taught Sunday School for many years.
She is survived by two sons, Rick Foster and wife Deborah of Knott, Texas; Buddy Foster and wife Christine of Leavenworth, Kansas. Mary had five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Olius Foster in 1991, three brothers, and two sisters.
