Martha “Shawn” White, 53, passed away Tuesday October 16, 2012 in Lubbock. She was born July 13, 1959 in Jacksonville, Florida to Marvin and Aileen Wisenbaker. Martha was raised in Lubbock and graduated from Lubbock High School. She began her radio career while still in high school at KTXT then worked for KEND, KLLL, KBAT as well as several others. She also enjoyed working with handicapped and mentally challenged adults. Martha was an excellent mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband Leland; 3 children, James, Brittany and Evin; 3 grandchildren, Alyson Paige, Dane Heith, Jaron Marcus; 3 stepchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Friday September 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in Resthaven Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Saturday at 10 am in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel.
