Marguerite Johnston

Services for Marguerite Johnston, 88, of Lubbock, will be at 1 pm on Friday, December 30, 2011 in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Mrs. Johnston passed away on Wednesday, December 28th.

Marguerite was born on July 14, 1923 in Earth, Texas to Delbert and Nora Childers Hudnall. She married Robert “Bob” Johnston in Superior, Wisconsin, on January 5, 1946. She and her husband were members of the Catch-All-Eight Square Dance Club for many years. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Roger and Tom Johnston of Midland; three daughters, Carolyn Willis and Linda Garnica of Lubbock, and Sharon McDonald of Sayre, Oklahoma; one sister, Hortense Poteet of Carmine, Texas; nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
