Ludy M Rogers

Ludy Mae Rogers, 79, of Lubbock, TX. passed away on June 30, 2017. Mrs. Rogers was born on February 1, 1938 to William Arthur and Mamie Beatrice (Bean) Turpin in Hannah, OK. She married John Rogers on April 11, 1953 at the First Christian Church in Dalhart, TX. Mrs. Rogers had a huge heart, and loved taking care of children. She operated a day care center out of her home for many years. She also enjoyed reading, and was a very passionate basketball fan, especially for the Dallas Mavericks. Most of all she was a very devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will always be loved by those who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers.

Those left to cherish Ludy’s memory are husband John Rogers; son, Troy Don Rogers; daughter, Gwendolyn Mae Ray; son, Travis John Rogers (Allen); daughter, Jennifer Kae Mott (Ronnie); and sister, Unie Matthews.
