Louise Patterson

Louise was born in Jester, Ok on July 30, 1919 and spent her early years there on a farm. She came to Abernathy Texas as a late teen where she lived with her family. She met and married Melvin Patterson on December 23, 1942. Then Melvin was sent to Europe with the US Army. They were blessed with 2 boys, Sidney Richard (Dick) Patterson and Stephen Mack Patterson. In 1969 Louise moved from Abernathy to Lubbock . There she remained until her passing.

Louise was preceeded in death by her mom dad, William Frank and Verda, and all of her brothers and sisters, who were: Little Frank Knox (infant), Sidney Knox, Raymond Knox, Murray Knox, George Knox, Beauna Milligan, and Irma Treadwel. She was also preceeded in death by her husband of 63 years Melvin Patterson, and her oldest son Sidney Richard (Dick) Patterson.

Louise is survived by: Stephen Patterson and wife Leela, grandchildren: Stevn Brandt Patterson, Scott Channing Patterson, Seth Murray Patterson, Ruth Anne Patterson and Mathew Lee Patterson, and great-grandchildren, Caitlyn and Cash Patterson.

Louise will always be remembered as a tremendous prayer warrior, for her great since of humor, and as a great cook. She loved people!!!

A visitation for Louise will be held Friday, July 15, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas. A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Resthavens' Abbey Chapel, 5740 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas.
