Lisa L. Miller , 55,of Lubbock went to home to be with her Savior on Tuesday November 22, 2011 in Corsicana, Texas. Graveside Services will be held at 1P.M. Saturday November 26, 2011 at Resthaven Memorial Park with Pastor Ed Ainsworth officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6P.M. to 8P.M. at Resthaven Funeral Home. Lisa made her grand appearance into this world on April 18,1956 in Big Spring, Texas to the late Richard M. Thomas Sr. and Norma Schudel Mcdougal. She was adored dearly by all who knew her. A very joyous and happy wife and mother, she worked for the Corsicana Visitor Center. She loved her job, her boss and everyone she worked with. Those that remain will remember her fondly. Her greatest joys in life were spending time baking, cooking and most of all spending the holidays with her children and friends in Lubbock, Texas. She spent time with her lord and her church family at That Church in Corsicana, Texas. One of her greatest joys was clogging with her clogging group, Memaw's Misfits. She loved to dance.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Schudel Mcdougal. Those left to cherish her joyous spirit include her spouse and best friend for 24 years, Samuel Patrick Miller, a son, Scott Wesley Morgan and wife Yvette of Lubbock, a daughter, Heather Hayes and husband Jason of New Orleans, Louisiana, two brothers, Richard Thomas and wife Gwyn of Lubbock,Rusty Thomas and wife Pam of Lake Dallas and a very special and dear friend/sister, Shelly K. Iverson of Lubbock.
She had 3 grandchildren, 14 nephews and 10 nieces.
