Linda Sue Turner Brooks, 71, was called home by the Lord to be in heaven on September 4, 2015, she was surrounded with love by her family at her time of passing. Linda was born in Lubbock Texas on July 17, 1944 to Robert Lee Turner and Johnnie Ester Turner Hanks.
Linda, retired from Bill Sears Supermarkets, where she spent 17 years as a buyer for their stores in Odessa. She retired to her home in Blackwell, Texas where she spent time with her family and friends. Linda was a faithful person and loved the Lord and her savior. She was a beautiful, fun loving person inside and out. She was a prankster, full of life, and loved making people laugh. Her family and friends were the most important part of her life and she enjoyed spending time with all of them. Linda will be truly missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, a sister, her step-father, Albert Hanks and a grandson, Jeffery Scott Collard . She leaves behind her husband, Leon Brooks of 52 years, a son Jeff Brooks of Kennedale, a daughter Karla Grimes and her husband James of Odessa; three grandchildren, Amber Brooks of Garland, Tx, Cassidy Brooks and fiance Seth Revell of Willie, Tx, Kody Grimes of Odessa, Tx, and two sisters, Ann Griffin of Lubbock and Nadine Thrasher of Amarillo; a brother Bill Turner of Canyon Lake, and several nieces, nephews, and friends and family.
