Linda was an avid gardener who enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading, and cooking with her family. She donated her time and energy to making a more comfortable and breathable prostheses known as ‘knitted knockers’ (based on the pattern name) and softer chemo hats for Lubbock’s Inside Out Foundation, and also knitted tiny beanies for premature babies and crocheted octopi for them to curl their little fingers around instead of the tubing in the NICU at the women’s and children’s hospital.
Linda is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Louise Griffith, her father, Carl Alvin Russell, and her brothers Delbart Gerald Russell and Carl Wayne Russell. She is survived by her loving family, husband, Clay, and daughter, Andrea.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday October 12, 2019 at Resthaven Funeral Home.
