Judy Kirksey Richardson

Judy graduated Frenship High school and received her Bachelors of Science degree in home economics from Texas Tech University in 1961.

Judy worked as an office manager for over thirty years at Leroy Richardson, CPA. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, ceramics, sewing and reading. One of her greatest passions was playing cards and games with her family and friends.

Judy loved her faith, family, and never met a stranger. She was a proud member of anything she was passionate about, such as 57 years at the Monterey Baptist Church, Wolfforth Caretakers Sunday School class, and 17 years as a founding member of the Stocking Patriots. The Stocking Patriots’ mission was to share the Christmas spirit and love to as many soldiers overseas as possible. While this was a seasonal affair, Judy used her gifts of sewing and crocheting all year long preparing the stockings. Judy gave over tens of thousands of handmade stockings and crocheted crosses while serving alongside an amazing group of Patriotic women by her side!

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first born child, Ronny Richardson, and her brother, Benny Kirksey of Pampa, TX. Judy leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving husband of over 64 years, Leroy; her children: Karen and Lee Worth of Lubbock, Kristi and Jason Severn of Heath, TX; Larry and Shannon (Adams) Richardson of Odessa, TX; four granddaughters: Morgan and Derek Griffard of Argyle, TX, Mackenzie Worth of Lubbock, TX, Madison and Gracie Severn of Heath, TX and two great-grandsons, Layne & Lincoln Griffard.

The family invites you join them as they honor and celebrate her life with the visitation beginning on Thursday September 28th, 2023 from 6-8 pm. Services will continue on Friday, September 29, 2023 with a 1 pm Celebration of Life in Resthaven Funeral Home Abbey Chapel. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
