Judith Lightsey James passed away on the evening of November 24th at the age of 76, and within 72 hours of losing his wife of 51 years, Donald Dale James joined her at the age of 86. Both died peacefully in their sleep under comfort care at UMC of Lubbock, Texas.
Judith received her business degree from Waylon Baptist University. She also worked as a surgical assistant for many years. She loved exploring new recipes and baking cookies with her granddaughters. Donald served within the United States Army. After serving in the military, he worked as a carpenter for Lee Lewis Construction until his retirement. He loved woodworking and made beautiful furniture and wooden bowls. Don and Judie loved spending time with their sons and their granddaughters.
They are survived by their children Bobby James of Lubbock, Brad James, and daughter-in-law Allison James of New Braunfels, their granddaughters Emily James, Hallie James, and Olivia James.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
