Juanita Wright, 97, passed away February 24, 2016 in Friona TX. She was born November 19, 1918 in Crow Mountain, Arkansas to Berch and Ora Walters Scott. She moved to Lubbock County Texas in 1926 at the age of 8. Juanita graduated from Shallowater High School in 1936. She married Crandel Wright in 1936 and they farmed in Shallowater until moving to Friona, TX in 1954.
Survivors include a son, Gordon Wright of Charlotte, NC, daughter Janice Loaf-man of Plainview, TX, daughter-in-law Pat Wright Blackburn of Friona, TX; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great-great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1962, her parent, a son Gene Wright, a great granddaughter, Brooke Hankins, a sister, a brother and a brother at infancy.
