A Rosary for Jose “Charro” Perez, 67, of Lubbock, will be recited at 7 p.m., on Monday, Oct 11, 2010 in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m.on Tuesday in the Abbey Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven. Mr. Perez passed away on Sat, Oct 9th.
Jose was born on Nov 20, 1942 in Pharr, TX. He was a Catholic and longtime resident of Lubbock.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Estapa, and three brothers, Raul, Elias, and Alfredo Pena.
He is survived by his children, Debbie and husband Jose Santellano, Cathy and husband Rick Athey, and Diana and husband Miguel Hernandez, all of Lubbock; two sisters, “Licha” and Rosa; two brothers, Jamie and Paul; 12 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
