Johnny Leo Wiley was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 18, 2017. He was born on November 4, 1947 in Brownfield TX, to Ralph and Sue Wiley. He grew up helping his dad in their construction business. This gave him a great work ethic and a deep rooted sense of responsibility.
He married Juanelle Scoggin on March 21, 1970 in Lubbock TX. After his marriage, he enlisted for a tour in the US Navy to serve and protect his country. During his life, Leo was very productive in his various activities, including fishing, Boy Scouts, Indian Lore, and making knives.
In 1973 he began working for the US Postal Service and retired in 2002. He then chose to become his mother's caretaker. He continued to be the cornerstone of his family until his death.
He was a person, certain of his goals in life. The first and foremost was meeting those goals of his family and close friends as he had no problem being there for his parents first and then the friends. A second goal was to always be honest to yourself and to others and no matter what the job was, you do it right and to the best of your ability. He will be greatly missed by many people, but as he told us - he had no doubt that the Lord would take care of him.
He is survived by his wife, Juanelle Wiley, three children, Terry Wiley, Toni and husband Gary Boyer, and Tricia Wiley, two grandchildren, Hunter Wiley and Alayna Boyer all of Lubbock, TX. Three brothers, Gerald and wife Marlene of San Antonio, TX, Ted and wife Diana Wiley of Lubbock, TX, and Mike and wife Lori Wiley of San Antonio, TX.
