Family and friends of John F. Schneider "Jack" will gather to celebrate his life of 91 years on Monday, November 7th at 11:00 am at First Christian Church, 2323 Broadway, where he was a lifetime elder. Reverend Paul Carpenter will be officiating. Jack, a long time resident of Lubbock, passed away Wednesday, November 2nd. He was born May 8th 1925 to Grace and Rudolf Schneider in Helena, Montana.
After serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp. from 1943-1945, he graduated from Woodbury University in California. Jack started his business career as a Navigator with the Commercial Flying Tigers Line followed by Kuykendall Chevrolet, Kuykendall Investment Co., then Kuykendall & Schneider Inc. as a Securities Partner.
Among Jack's Community Service contributions, he served on several Boards, including United Way, Rotary and Kiwanis Club, Lubbock Symphony, South Plains Boy Scouts and First Christian Church Foundation. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Dale Camareno. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jodie Schneider, son Kirk Schneider (Kathy) and daughter Nancy Carter (David), 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
