On September 10, 1943 she married Don Steele in Lubbock, TX. They enjoyed 21 years together until his death in 1964. She married Doug Lively on January 20, 1966 and cherished 47 years together.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Don Steele, her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Harry Howle, a grandson, Shane Steele and a great-grandson, Gage Hudson.
She is survived by her husband, Doug; one son, Bill Steele and his wife Sue of Satsuma, AL; one daughter, Diane Adair and her husband Larry of Levelland; 4 grandchildren, Crystal Matula, DW Steele, Josh Steele, and Ashley Adair; 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation will be Monday, February 4, 2013 at Resthaven Funeral Home from 6:00 -7:30pm. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church of Plainview with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
