Jesse H Edwards

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life with a Graveside service on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 10am in Resthaven Memorial Park with Pastor Bruce Cotton officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Jesse was born in Dickens, Texas December 24, 1936, to Claude Edwards and Florence Hawley Edwards.

Jesse married Jane Alice Newton in Clovis, New Mexico on January 12, 1957, and was married till she passed away July 6, 1994.

Jesse worked as a welder and cowboy on ranches and feedlots until he retired.

He then married Barbara Susie Sherrill on June 8, 1996, in Lubbock, Texas till she passed away on March 1, 2022.

He is survived by his son Shannon and wife, Vera Edwards of Lubbock, Texas, daughter Debra and husband, Johnny Walls of Levelland, Texas, son Benjamin Edwards of O’Donnell, Texas, son Quincy and wife Sharon Edwards of Andrews, three stepchildren Jeanette Hamilton, Christy Stith and Cody Robbins, 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, a sister Darlene Hagle of Throckmorton, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

Jesse is preceded in death by: his parents Claude and Florence Edwards, brothers, Henry Edwards, Tubby Edwards, Claud Edwards Jr., and Bill Edwards, sisters, Dessa Wallace, LaRue Russell, and Claudine Coon.
