Jerry G. Bauler

Jerry Greeted at church for decades. Members and visitors alike would wait to shake his hand upon entering. They desired that personal experience of a caring friend who knew their name, their family, and blessed them all with a loving smile. Jerry and June owned Tech Auto Service for 35 years and knew everyone in town. Everyone trusted Jerry to fix their car right and at a fair price. Widows would discover after an extensive repair; they owed zero on their bill. He and June helped families rolling down the highway of life. Together, they ran an amazing business.

He loved children, paid for numerous church youth trips, sometimes chartering a bus, others with scholarships for low-income families with children. It was a common joke on youth trip to state it was Jerry’s birthday at every restaurant. Soon everyone was singing happy birthday as he sat quietly. Sitting over coffee, Jerry would ask you about everything. He listened and asked questions about you, your life and where you wanted to be. Everyone felt the love, everyone knew he cared. There are hundreds of thousands of good deeds, people in need and he and June granting a helping hand. He loved God, his family, and as grandchildren and later great grandchildren arrived, he always had time to play. His favorite past-time was fishing. Oh, he hunted a little, but fishing was his thing, and he was good at it.

Jerry was born September 30, 1939, in Springer, New Mexico and preceded by his parents John & Iris and great granddaughter Oakley Warren. He moved to Lubbock to attend trade school where he and June (Burks) met and married June 24, 1962. He is survived by Wife June, three children, Terri Warren (husband Stephen), Brad Bauler (wife Gina), Marcus Bauler (wife Robin), and grandchildren, Cameron Warren (wife Brooke), Brittney Warren Meuse (husband Jordan Meuse), Nicole Warren, Kennedy Bauler (husband Spencer Reddick), Grant Bauler, Ashley & Brandon Bauler, Andrew & Matt Ford, and Great grandchildren, Carson, and Waylon Warren.
