Jan attended grade school in Tulsa, Oklahoma and completed High School at Memorial High. She graduated from Ouchita Baptist University and then earned her master’s degree from Texas Tech University in Food and Nutrition.
Jan was married to Jack Hull on March 19, 1977 at Tulsa Bible Church.
Early in her career, she was the dietetic consultant for several Lubbock retirement centers. Later, she was the Food Service Director for Frenship ISD and was transferred by Aramark to various management positions for Lubbock ISD.
She was a devout Christian and attended Lubbock First Church of the Nazarene until her health prevented her from doing so. She served the Lord by teaching the pre-k class there for many years.
Jan was a member of Heart of the Plains Kennel Club and was active in raising, training and showing Siberian Huskies. Her hobbies included hiking, camping, bicycling, scuba diving, boating, photography, metal detecting and spending quality time with family and friends.
Jan is survived by her husband, Jack. Son, Parker and his family: Missy, Jemma, Addie, Karsyn. And daughter, Tyler and her family: Gavin, Greyson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4 from 5-7pm at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 W. 19th St. Lubbock, TX 79407.
