James (Jim) Russell Hart, 84, of Amarillo, Texas entered into the presence of God, on Saturday, September 28, 2019. God wrapped His loving arms around our beloved husband and father and said, “No more suffering in this shell of a body. Come home and be healed my good and faithful servant.”
Jim was born in Borger, Texas on September 10, 1935 to Ed and Lillian Hart. After graduating from Borger High School in 1954, he received a diploma from Tyler Commercial College and School of Business Administration in June 1955. He attended Texas Tech University and worked at Mosier Steel Company. He met the love of his life, Juanette Rasco on a blind date and they were married August 29, 1958, whom he adored for 61 years. This eventually moved him and his family to Amarillo, TX in 1972. He worked for the State of Texas until his retirement in 1996.
Jim loved square dancing with his wife and made lifelong friends through this activity. His passion for traveling and camping took them all over the country. They had their second home at Pendaries RV Resort in Rociada, New Mexico, where amazing memories with family and friends were made. Jim was an initial investor and helped build the current club house and memory garden in Pendaries. He enjoyed wood carving and crafted many works of art. His carvings of animals won him many awards at the fair.
Jim loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with his whole heart. He is survived by his wife, along with their four children; Marcy Williams of Mt.
