Ina Frances Wilson was born on December 31, 1919 in Lubbock, the daughter of Lubbock pioneers Smylie C. Wilson and Willie May Thomas Wilson, and passed away on February 26, 2012. Frances was a graduate of Lubbock High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in English at Texas Tech University.
She worked as administrative secretary to four superintendents of the Lubbock Independent School District. She was a member of the Texas Association of School Administrators and loved cats.
Frances is survived by numerous cousins.
Her family thanks all of the people who helped Frances maintain her independence, especially Elsa Morin and Ramey Vigil.
