Harvey D. Lesly

Harvey D Lesly, age 85, of Galveston, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024. Harvey was born in Shallowater, TX to the late Glen and Leona (Yeager) Lesly. He was raised by his father and his stepmother Hazel (Conner) Lesly after Leona's untimely death.

Harvey was a strong man of faith who worked in different fields to provide for his family. He was a bricklayer, realtor, salesman, and Business Owner to name a few; and was an avid fan of Texas Tech and college football. He enjoyed fishing and the beach, but his most memorable times were spent with his family.

He has been reunited in Heaven with his parents, Glen & Hazel Lesly, and Leona Lesly; father-in-law Bernie Woerdeman, 2 brothers, Bobby and Monte Lesly; and his granddaughter Bailey Greening,

Harvey leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Rose Lesly; mother-in-law Eloise Woerdeman, children: Steve Lesly (Karie), Cindy Sibley (Kenneth), Tiffany Greening (Mark), Faith Lesly, Angelica Lesly; grandchildren: Misty Howard (Scott), Jarrett Lesly (Kelly), Deri Ames (Brady), Audrey Bullock (David), Derrick Fanning (Juanita), Hunter Greening; great-grandchildren: Ashton Lloyd, Emily Lloyd, Hannah Lesly, Noah Lesly, Zaiah Lesly, Leah Lesly, Berkley Ames, Hudson Ames, Lauren Schroeder, Micah Schroeder, Chevelle Fanning, Charger Fanning; sister-in-law, Reta Lesly (Bobby Lesly); 2 brothers-in-law Joe and Vince Woerdeman, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

His life will be remembered and celebrated on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 1pm in Resthaven Funeral Home Abbey Chapel.
