He lived in Seagraves, Texas until the age of twelve and graduated from Permian High School and Texas Tech University. He leaves behind his partner, Claudia Romero and four children he dearly loved Nesly Chevez, Jose Rosales, Diana Hicks, and Christian Hicks.
His surviving family includes his mother, Georgia Hicks (Lubbock), father Norman Hicks and his wife Carolyn (Lubbock), and sister Stacey Laub (Frisco). Along with many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Greg’s name reflected his gregarious personality. Greg showed his love for you in a big way. He’ll be remembered for his love of family. He spent time playing with his children and was often found playing his favorite games — basketball , checkers, baseball, football, and cards. He was the family coach, advisor, motivator and favorite playtime mate. Being a father was his greatest joy.
His family’s wish is to carry on his legacy of love. Love your family, make them laugh, and create the moments we remember today and forever.
A celebration of his life will be held on at 10:00 am Monday, March 4, 2024 at Southcrest Baptist in Lubbock, Texas.
