He was born on November 27, 1944 to Clement Duel McCormick and Betty Jane Dutton in Detroit, Michigan. George was a Welder for 38 years and worked for United Supermarket for 11 years.
George was also a member of Member of the Message Church in Lubbock, Texas. He will be missed dearly.
George is preceded in death by his parents, Clement Duel McCormick (2000) and Betty Jane Dutton (2008).
He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Ann McCormick; daughter, Leslie and Sean Lamphere of Slaton, Texas, step-son, Dennis and Kelly Leverett of Lubbock, Texas, step-daughter, Laurie and Tony Cotton of Lubbock, Texas, and step-daughter, Tracie and Robert Daniel of Wolfforth, Texas; grandchildren, Bailey, Grant, Evyn, Hunter, Bristyl, Casey(Holly), Misty(Austin), Kolby(Lyndsi), and Korbin; great-grandchildren, Bella, Brooks, David, Eberley, Sage, Callaghan, Noah, Nate, and Jacob; sisters, Frances Louise and Richard Milbern of Slaton, Texas and Martha Jones of Marlow, Oklahoma; step-brother, Randy and Donna Dutton of Marlow, Oklahoma; uncle, David and Martha Wooten of Kilgore, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on January 21, 2021 at Resthaven Abbey Chapel 5740 West 19th ST., at 12:30 pm., followed by Graveside Service at 2:00pm at Resthaven Memorial Park.
