Gary A. Taylor

Gary graduate from Coronado High School in 1966. His class was the first graduating class and he was the 15th top student out of more than 300.

Gary continued his education at Texas Tech University, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration with an Accounting degree. Gary continued his passion for numbers while owning his own accounting business from 1978 to 2021.

Gary met Sue Evers when she was 4 years old and he was six years old. They reconnected when they were teenagers at the Hi –D –Ho. Sue recognized Gary and boldly slipped him her phone number. Gary and Sue were married in Lubbock, TX on July 5, 1968.

Gary was a member of the Texas Accounting Association and had a passion for Astrology. He was also member of Bacon Heights Baptist Church and President of Midwest Little League in the 1980's.

Gary is survived by his wife, Sue Taylor, son Kevin Taylor (Kim). Grandchildren, Tori Farmer (Chris), Stetson Taylor (Nicole), Stanton Taylor (Veronica), Ethan Didway, and Carson Didway (Danielle). Great Grandchildren, Chandler Taylor, Brantlee Farmer, Sawyer Farmer, Cory Taylor, Maverick Taylor and Casey Taylor. Sisters, Elizabeth Edwards, Sylvia Westbrook and Glenda Upchurch (Eddie).

Gary was preceded in death by his loving son Cory Taylor (1977). Father, Willard Taylor (1978). Brother, Paul Taylor (2011). Mother, Willie May Taylor (2016).

A Celebration of Life will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on February 8, 2024 at 10 AM with Todd Keith officiating.
