Forrest Alton Shannon, was born October 4th, 1943 in Plainview, Texas to the late Elbert and Pearl Shannon. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1961 and attended Wayland Baptist University for two years. He worked in the grocery store business in one form or another for over 60 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Shannon; mother, Ida Pearl (Ticer); baby brother, Alvin Lee; brothers, Pat and Travis and granddaughter, Linda Kay.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Linda Shannon; daughters, Lucretia Shannon, Sharon (Jim) Gossett, grandchildren, Scott (Christina) Stofel, Amanda (Joe) Salinas, Aaron (Margo) Shannon; great grandchildren, Makinzie, Malorie, Kit, Jordan, Mickael, Elizabeth and many close friends he considred family.
