Faye J. Mitchell, wife and mother of two died at TrustPoint Hospital on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the age of 82.
She was a member of the Eastern Stars, Professional Women’s Business Association, and Monterey Baptist Church. She worked for the state of Texas until her retirement in 1991.
She is survived by her son, Ronald K Mitchell of Lubbock and her foster son, Robert Stringer of Irving.
She is preceeded in death by her husband Walter Ray Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 6-9 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home, Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Resthaven Memorial Park.
