Evelyn Petty, 89, of Levelland passed away on Wednesday, February 26th. She was born in Levelland, Texas on August 30, 1930. She graduated from Pettit High School. She was married to Gyn O. Petty on November 30, 1949.
Evelyn worked at South Plains Educational Coop. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Granny. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Evelyn was quick witted and full of life. She cared deeply for those she loved.
She is survived by her son, Larry Petty of Levelland, eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gyn O. Petty of Levelland, her son Terry Petty of Levelland, and her daughter Robin Bell of Levelland.
There will be a celebration of Evelyn’s life on Saturday, March 7th at 10am at Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock, TX. A graveside service will follow at Levelland Cemetery.
