Elva Byington

Elva V. Byington 78 of Plainview Tx passed away on November 1st 2022 at 3:45 pm. She was born in Alice Tx on December 24th 1943 to Isidro Vasquez of Mexico and Maria Vasquez of Alice,Tx. She was married to Robert Byington Jr on February 15, 1969 until 1985.

She was a member of Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall. She moved to Plainview in 2000.

Elva was strong and independent and was not particular in anything. She helped when she could and accepted help as well. Her favorite hobby was shopping for bargains. She loved to eat her Caldo and Beans.

She is survived by her son Robert Byington,III and daughter-in-law, Irene Byington, 4 grandchildren

Devon Lara and, wife Sydney of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Danny Lara of Lubbock ,Tx, Leanna Perez, and husband, Thomas Perez, Jennifer Byington and husband, Josh Montes; 7 great- grandchildren, Aiden Byington, Elianna Perez, Aaliyah Montes, Zachariah Perez, Isaiah Perez, Aria Montes and Azalea Perez; a sister, Gloria Vasquez of Pearland, Tx; and a brother, Daniel Vasquez of Rosenberg, Tx.

She is preceded in death by her sister Amalia Aguilar of Corpus Christi, Tx; brothers, Chavalito Vasquez of Kingsville, Tx, Mague Vasquez of Beeville, Tx and Isidro Vasquez Jr of Pearland Tx

A celebration of life for Elva will be held Friday, November 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Resthavens' Abbey Chapel, 5740 19th St., Lubbock, Texas.
