He married Ellouise Waller on February 4th, 1965 in Muleshoe, Texas.
Doug worked numerous jobs including Pioneer Natural Gas, roughnecking, and Union Texas Petroleum.
Doug enjoyed auctions and estate sales, repairing old wood working tools, and collecting old blacksmith tools. Doug also enjoyed reading the bible and spreading the good word as much as he could.
Doug often said, "The world keeps turning and the good Lord keeps on working."
Those left to cherish his memories are his children; Bruce Waller, Kassie (Waller) Geisler and husband "Paco", 2 grandchildren; Kaitlyn (Waller) Call and husband Will, Ben Waller and wife Maddie, and 1 great granddaughter, Marlee Jane Waller, along with his brother Johnny Waller and his nieces and nephews.
The family will honor Doug in a private graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Lubbock in Doug's memory.
