Dorothy Faye Millwee Williams of Lubbock passed away on Tuesday, September 02, 2014 at the age of 85. She was born in Rising Star, Texas on January 2, 1929. She met her future husband there in Rule and in 1950: she married Howard Curtis Williams in Lubbock, Texas.
Dorothy worked in Lubbock as a public stenographer for the Lubbock County Courts and then as a legal secretary for Norton Baker. After retirement, she spent her time watching baseball and keeping up with politics.
She is preceded in death by her husband Howard; her parents John Finis and Ira Millwee; sister Jonnie Chisum; and a twin sister Wanda Ray Milwee Knight.
She is survived by a daughter, Ricki and husband Jerry Wyckoff of Lubbock; son Danny and wife Donna Williams of Sugartree; three grandchildren, Melisa Samaniego of Lubbock, Shawn Samaniego of Round Rock, Texas and Drew Williams of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; four great grandchildren, Destinee and Anthony Hernandez of Lubbock, Chloe Bownds of Amarillo, Texas and Kaileigh Samaniego of Round Rock, Texas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
