David Wayne Hawkins entered into eternal rest on August 7, 2022 at the age of 61. Born in Ft. Worth, TX to the late Albert Lewis and Juanita (Nicholson) Hawkins on December 23, 1960; he has now reunited with his parents and brother, James Hawkins.
David was a proud machinist for about 30 years. He was a talented, self-taught craftsman who definitely left his mark in his home with the many things he made. His sense of humor and zest for life brought him many friends in life; he loved being social, and bowling was one of his favorite hobbies. He had an undeniable love for his family and his beautiful daughters. He had many proud and cherished moments with them, but his biggest was being able to walk his daughters down the aisle; those moments will be forever treasured. His love, personality, and presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 34 years, Sandra Hawkins; his daughters, Haley Kirk and husband Brooks, Caitlin Nichols and husband Dru; sister, Beverly Richey; and numerous other family members and friends.
The family invites you to celebrate his life on Saturday, August 13, 2022 with a 1pm Chapel service at Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
