D. Dan Martin

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 2:00 PM at LakeRidge United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011 from 5-8 PM.

Dan was born on March 1,1934 to J.D. “Buck” and Olive Martin in Lynn County, Texas.

He was a Member of the LakeRidge United Methodist Church and a member of the Texas Gin Managers Association. He was employed by PCCA for over 12 years.

He is survived by four children; Mark Martin and his wife Reneé of Lubbock, James and his wife Linda of Ruidoso, New Mexico, Dana Williams of Lubbock and David and his wife Debi also of Lubbock, four stepchildren; Rocky, Vince and Talana Gribble and Kim Alvarado, 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren,a brother; Benny Martin of Lubbock, and a sister; Francis Brookshire of Tahoka.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 32 years, Micky Martin.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Legacy Fund at LakeRidge United Methodist Church.
