As a young boy, he enjoyed playing basketball, football, and baseball. He graduated from Monterey High School in 2000.
He attended classes at South Plains College and graduated from Covenant Surgical Tech School in 2007.
Clay managed multiple restaurants where he was well liked by everyone.
Clay married Lauren Owen on September 1, 2007. They made their life together in Lubbock.
Clay is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Lynn Collier.
Left to celebrate his life, Clay leaves behind his wife Lauren Collier, son Ethan and son Tristan.
Other survivors include his mother Diane Collier of Lubbock, Texas, his sister Andrea Calahan and husband Shawn of Allen, Texas, sister Kelley Hollenstein and husband Dallas of Canyon, Texas, brother Matt Collier and wife Candace of San Antonio, Texas, step-mother Dee Dee Collier of San Antonio, Texas and paternal grandmother Dorothy Collier of Dumas, Texas. In laws Rudd Owen and wife Julie of Plainview, Texas and sister-in-law Meredith Riddle and husband Trent of Ransom Canyon, Texas in addition to seven nephews and one niece.
Later in life, Clay enjoyed golf, fishing and traveling. Clay was a good man. He lived his life to the fullest. He was good natured, quick witted with a contagious smile and laugh. Clay loved God and he loved his family.
