Christene Sue Stephens of Lubbock, formerly of Amarillo, died Monday October 19, 2015 at the age of 66. Christene was born January 24, 1949 in Salina, Kansas to Hershel Eugene Ward and Marjorie Marie (Railsback) Ward.
Christene graduated from Otis High School in Otis, Kansas and later from St Anthony’s School of Nursing in Amarillo, Texas. She was a healer, teacher and artist; wife and mother. We will all miss her.
Survivors include her brother, Douglas Ward of Seattle, Washington; her husband John Stephens of Lubbock; two sons and a daughter, Thomas Stephens of Ft Collins, Colorado, William Stephens of Amarillo and Juliet Brown of Durham, North Carolina; also five grandchildren.
