Charles H. Sawyer

He married his one true love and soulmate, Dorothy Janet Wells, on July 10th, 1954 in Clovis, NM. They had five children. He opened Charles Sawyer Sheet Metal Heating and Air Conditioning in 1964 in Lubbock, which ran successfully until his retirement. He loved working hard, being creative, and having fun.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents Ava and Paul Sawyer; five brothers, one sister and one son, Terry Sawyer.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Dorothy Sawyer and four children: son, Archie Sawyer and Debbie Wilson; daughter, Sharon Haigood and husband, Kenneth Haigood; daughter, Cindy Kohanek; daughter, Kelli Guyear and husband, David Guyear. He was privileged to have 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28th from 5-7 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Services will be on Monday, October 30th at 1 pm in the Resthaven Chapel officiated by Pastor Richard Harbison.
