Catherine Jean Ann Barnes was born on Sunday, September 13th at 3:00 pm. She weighed 4 pounds 11 ounces and was 16 inches long. She succumbed to complications due to Ebsteins's Anomaly on Tuesday, September 22nd.
Catherine is survived by her parents, Jody and Gail Barnes, her big brothers, Pete Aleman Jr., and Terry Barnes, and his wife Carolyn all of Lubbock; and by her great-grandparents, R.O. Street of Vernon, Texas and Alene Barnes of Terrell, Texas. Plus numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was greeted with open arms in Heaven by her sister, Samantha Aleman, her brother, Christopher "Toadbucket" Barnes and by her grandmothers, Twila Barnes and Gail Aleman and many more relatives.
She received the very best of care by the doctors, nurses and staff at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas and by Covenant Medical Group in Lubbock, Texas. Although she was born with a rare congenital heart defect, she was a fighter from the beginning.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Texas Children's Hospital Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
