Carolyn Sue Collier was born on July 5, 1946 in Avondale, Arizona to the late John Arthur Herrington and Icy Rachel Ford Herrington. She had been a resident of Lubbock, Texas for more than 50 years. She worked in the trucking industry for more than 50 years when she retired from The Nunn Company in 2018.
Susie passed on November 7, 2022 in her home in Lubbock, Texas at the age of 76.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers and sisters, J.C. Herrington, Samuel Herrington, Betty Buchanon, Luoise Provience, David Herrington, Wayne Herrington, Billie June Herrington, Jalene Herrrington, and Dennis Herrington; and a grand daughter Christian Lincoln.
Survivors include her three sons, Joe Collier and wife Debra Collier of Haskell, Bobby Collier of Lubbock, and Larry John Collier and wife Jessica Collier of Lubbock; grandchildren, Cyndra and Husband Joe, Kyna, Todd and wife Kylie, Kacy, Toby, Raeleigh, and Griffin; 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Susie was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Her life will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 with a 1pm Chapel service at Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
