Calvin Thomas (Tommy) Somers 90 passed away Sunday July 31, 2022. He was born June 16, 1932 in Hope, Arkansas to Alford & Edna Somers. After attending Lubbock High, he joined the USMC, and served our country fighting in the Korean War. He married Joyce Rogers in 1952.
After working as a fireman and on the railroad he went into the printing industry, where he remained for 64 years.
Tommy is survived by his wife Joyce of 69 years; children, Robbie Somers Crooks, Dale Somers (Jeri) & Donna Somers Barkowsky (Steve) all of Lubbock. Grandchildren Cari Crooks Cobos (Jessica) of Bryan Tx, Brad Crooks (Christen) of Lubbock, Jessica Somers, (Lubbock), Jamie Somers (Lubbock) Riley Barkowsky (Valley Ranch, Tx) & Logan Barkowsky (Lubbock). Great grandsons Deacon & Colton.

Visitation will be Monday, August 8, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm at Resthaven.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 10:00 am in The Abbey Chapel at Resthaven. Graveside service to follow.
