Britt was born on April 26, 1971, in Lubbock, Texas. He graduated from Monterey High School, where he enjoyed participating in both the marching band and jazz band. His love for music continued as he pursued higher education at Texas Tech University and West Texas A&M University, ultimately earning a degree in Finance from West Texas A&M.
Britt had a laid-back and compassionate nature that endeared him to those around him. He deeply loved his family and had a special fondness for dogs. His easy going personality made him a joy to be around, and he was always ready to share a laugh or lend a helping hand.
An avid sports fan, Britt enjoyed watching his favorite teams the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers—cheering them on with enthusiasm. In his younger years, he also followed the Miami Dolphins. He found joy in playing softball and bowling and spent many hours enjoying games on his Nintendo.
Britt is survived by his brothers: Bud W. “Buddy” King (Linda), Robert Leslie “Bobby” King (Melanie) and Bradford Lynn “Brad” King (Melissa); Sister Sharon Castleberry (Charles); nieces and nephews Travis King, Katibeth Hanley (Drew), Kierra King, Jadeyn King, Leslie Cunningham (Mark), Courtney Dockery (Jacob), Christopher King (Hannah), Chelsea Layne King, and Aaron King: and his great-nephew Noah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Leslie King and Nelda Joyce King.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home 5740 19th Street in Lubbock on Saturday, February 22,2025 from 2pm – 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. P.O.Box 101, Spotsylvania, VA 22553
