Bob was born in Memphis, TN on June 20, 1941 to Verbon and Charlie Earl Wright. He attended Memphis State University. He began his career in the finance business in Memphis and was transferred to Lubbock in February of 1965. His career included employment for Associates Financial Services and CIT Commercial Finance. He worked in West Texas banking for 32 years. He “Rode With The Good Guys” at Plains Capital for over 25 years. He was an avid golfer and a beloved father.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years, Joyce; his son Bryan Wright of Lubbock; his daughter Jeana Dunlap of Lubbock; his grandchildren Victoria Wright, Amelia Wright and Jas Dunlap all of Lubbock; his brother, Larry Wright and wife Sharon Wright of Memphis, TN; his sister, Judy Treadway and husband Dennis Treadway of Atlanta, GA and many nieces and nephews.
