Billie Ruth Seay passed away on April 27, 2013 at Bender Terrace Nursing Facility. Her family will receive friends on Monday, April 29, 2013 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. Private entombment will be 4:00p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 in Resthaven’s Garden of James Mausoleum.
Billie Ruth was born on March 16, 1929 in Hollis, OK to Luna and Lola (Caswell) Lightner. In the town of O’Donnel, Billie met and married Billy Seay. They had been happily married for 65 years. Together, Billy and Billie were founding faithful members of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Billie was a longtime bookkeeper for W. G. McMillan Construction Company.
Billie is survived by her husband, Billy; son, Dr. Gaylon Seay and his wife, Deanie of Lubbock; grandchildren, Cody, Kasi, and Kati Seay, also of Lubbock; and sisters, Mary Foster and Oma Lee McGlaun.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
Billie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
