His early years were spent in Wichita Falls, Knox City, and Munday, Texas. In 1939 the family settled in Lamesa, Texas where Billy graduated from High School in 1949.
In 1951 on January 6, he married the love of his life Janice Marie Castleberry. They were wed in Hobbs, New Mexico, living in Seagraves, Texas, Lamesa, and Lubbock. In 1952 their first son James Keith was born and in 1955 Kavin was born. The family transferred to Levelland, their final move in 1966, where Bill and Janice built their business, Morris Machine Works. Janice was the office manager after she took business courses at South Plains College. Bill was a well respected machinist known for his precision and perfection. He took great pride in his work, his wife and the life they built.
Bill and Janice retired in 2000 after 34 years of owning their own business. They were members of The Church of Christ and were happiest while camping, fishing, hunting, trailing on motorcycles and travelling in their motorhomes.
Bill was preceded in death by his precious wife Janice Marie Morris, his beloved son Keith and his parents.
Bill is survived by a host of friends who loved him and cared for him until his final days. Bill was so grateful to have you all as friends. Son, Kavin, 3 grand daughters and 9 great grandchildren.
