Beverly was born January 28, 1934, in Seward NE to Clarence W. and Pauline (Stiles) Davis and succumbed to numerous medical problems including cancer on September 5, 2019. She began her cancer journey with surgery on September 11, 2008, and she is being laid to rest on the 11th anniversary of that starting that battle. The funeral service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 7801 Indiana Avenue, Lubbock, TX, at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 11, 2019. Rev. Daniel Hinton will officiate, and Rev. Dr. Alan Abel will be the Proclaimer.
She graduated from Garland High School, Garland NE, in 1952, and married Charles R. King, April 18, 1954, in Garland NE; he received his Crown of Life on June 2, 2006.
Beverly was employed a number of places including the Reese AFB Credit Union, Michaels, and JP’s Fundwear. She was actively involved in activities of Christ Lutheran Church as a Sunday School teacher, singing in the choir, organizing special meals for the Church, and holding all local offices of LWML as well as serving as LWML Zone President. She was an avid reader, and her extensive collection of books will be donated to Friends of the Library.
She is survived by her children Joyce King-Evans (Don) of Whitharral TX, Jeff (Delonnia) King of Roanoke VA, and Cyndi Bowman (Wade Spang) of Minooka IL. Her youngest son, Kirby, died January 3, 2016. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Brandie Clevenger of Austin TX, Brittanie Clevenger of Muleshoe TX, Brian Clevenger of Levelland TX, Elizabeth King of Edmond OK, and Amanda (Ryan) Boles, of Edmond OK; two step-grandchildren: Katie (Ethan) Masie of Lipan TX and Jacob Evans of Levelland; six great-grandchildren: Ella Reisman and Nolan Gollwithzer of Austin TX, Austin Kleiner of Muleshoe TX, Britton and Bentley Clevenger of Levelland TX, and Parker Franklin of Smyer TX. Also mourning her loss are two siblings: Carol (Merle) Schulz of Garland NE, and Leland (Ruth) Davis of Livingston TX, and special friends Mark, Taylor, and Cade Franklin of Smyer TX; Kari Clevenger of Levelland, and Avery Kleiner of Childress.

Beverly's visitation will held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 W. 19th Street, Lubbock, TX from 12 - 7 pm, Tuesday, September 10, 2019.
