Betty Jim Heald, age 90, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023. She was born July 16, 1933 in Lubbock, Texas to the late Jimmy and Lena Murphy. Betty graduated from Lubbock High School. She married the love of her life, Austin Heald, November 21, 1953, and they spent 70 years together raising their family and creating wonderful memories. They were members of Lakeridge Baptist Church. Betty loved to spend time in her flower and rock garden and was an accomplished painter.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Austin Heald, daughters; Gina Russell and Cami Richter; grandchildren, Thomas Austin Russell, Tyler Andrew Russell, Marina Richter and Darian Richter and 3 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home. A graveside committal service will occur Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Resthaven Memorial Park.
