He attended Monterey High School and graduated from Texas Tech. He would joke his career began as the janitor and ended as CEO/President and Owner of Adams Farm Equipment Co., Inc. the family-owned business, between Lubbock and Idalou on Hwy 62/82. Retiring in 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Maudie, and sister Susan Landers.
Survived by his wife Hilda, sons Ransom and wife Mandy, Andrew, Ian and wife Mandie. Daughter Vera and husband Thomas. Four grandchildren; Ethan, Kowan, Olivia, and Molly. Many nieces, nephews, brothers and sister in-laws, and acquaintances from his years in the farm equipment business and Multiple Sclerosis society.
He died peacefully in his home on June 24, 2023. Visitation, viewing and memorial will be Friday June 30th at 2:00pm at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 19th street. His cremains will be dispersed in Dickens County on Cottonwood Creek.
