He was born May 10, 1926 in Leming, Texas to Lazaro and Santiaga Longoria Salas.
Antonio married Candelaria M. Salas in 1948 in Corpus Christi, Texas Antonio and Candelaria moved to Levelland in 1965
He worked farm labor for 38 years. Antonio retired in 2003 then moved to Lubbock, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lazaro and Santiaga Salas, two brothers and 4 sisters also 4 sons, Tony Jr.; Ruben; Richard Sr. and Johnny Salas Sr.
He is Survived by his wife of 72 Years Candelaria Salas of Lubbock; brother, Cornelio M. Salas, 6 daughters Rosa (Jesse) Guzman, Yolanda Guerrero, Aurora Chapa, Lucy (Steve) Duff, Norma (Juan) Olivares and Bonny Salas. And 23 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
