Anthony P. Baca entered eternal rest on November 9, 2021 at the age of 78. He was born in Fort Sumner, New Mexico to the late Atilano and Rafaela Baca on February 10, 1943; he now reunites with his parents and his 8 siblings: Joe, Chris, Nicky, GG, Alice, Ramona, Helen & Margaret.
Anthony was a strong man of faith, he dedicated his life to serving the Catholic community for over 20 years. He taught Catechism, served in Church Reenactments, served communion in Church as well as to the sick and homeless. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing Elvis Presley songs to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a chef for some time and taught at the Scottish Rite Temple. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, who devoted his life to supporting and taking care of his family and valuing family time. His presence and love will be greatly missed.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 49 years, Mary Baca; his children: Monica (Jesse) Resendez, Veronica Ibarra, Noel (Shaenon) Franco, Nicolas (Linda) Baca, Lisa Ann Sendejo; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins and other relatives.
The family will begin receiving guests on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 5pm for a 6pm Rosary at Resthaven Funeral Home. Service will continue on Friday, November 19, 2021 with a 10am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
